So apparently NBC is planning to pull Community from it’s mid season line up with it’s future pretty much undetermined. Granted it is to make room for 30Rock, but I don’t know how they chose Community over a show like…. Whitney. Could this be the worst mistake made by a television network since Arrested Development? Steve Jobs: In Memoriam
I’ve never owned an Apple product. As you may recall, I’m the only person on earth who has never actually owned an iPod (what up, Zune!) BUT I did hear on Good Morning America this morning that Steve Jobs once spent weeks in India eating only apples because he thought it would cleanse his body. He was also dropping a shit ton of acid. Anyways, he sounds like my kind of guy whether I want to associate myself with his products or not. Not sure if that’s a good transistion, but just wanted to offer our blogging respects to a true innovator.
I know there’s a lot of younger pics of him, but you’ve got to admit it: he was kind of a fox.

Riding solo at the Beirut concert
So operation “Riding Solo” last night was a success (well, except for the fact that a trio of 5’8″+ undergrads decided to shimmy their way right in front of me and proceeded to smoke out of a Crayola marker. Creative, but highly annoying.)
Honestly though, other than the fact that I’m vertically challenged so I’m pretty much fucked at whatever concert I go to, I had a really amazing time. Beirut is like a mix of Devotchka and Morrissey…they’re awesome. I also really enjoyed the fact that I didn’t have to talk to anyone/socialize and I could just enjoy the music.
If you have a second, you should definitely Grooveshark some Beirut today. It’ll get you motivated for the weekend. Promise.
