Yep. Just another day in my parents bakery, making a couple of sourdough nut loaves. No big deal.
So I get home last night and what’s the first thing my mom does? Hug me? Nope. Ask me how the trip was? Nope. Fix of plate of chicken parm with a vodka tonic? Nope. She pulls out the flip cam and shows me this:
My bros have officially surpassed me as the new favorites. Yes, they are collectively the favorites in my mom’s eyes. At least I’m still the favorite with my dad because a) I’m the only girl and b) I’ve got a 401K. Feels good to be home.
Just a video of my brothers up in NH getting ready for the pie situation this weekend.
I still have no idea how my mom works with them everyday/how they actually manage to bake anything…

My mom owns a bakery and she recently (and by recently I mean about 8 months ago) started a Facebook page for it. To help her beef up her page, my brothers and I got her a Flip Cam for her birthday so she could add video content to her page. To be honest, I think the camera was more for my brother Michael than her, but you can decide for yourself after watching the video.
And yes, Michael is the one modeling the youth apparel. I can’t wait to celebrate his 27th birthday this year…
